Hello, I’m Adam Klein, an industrial designer and senior design engineer with over a decade of experience bringing consumer products from idea to shelf.
Growing up in a small town in Iowa, I spent a lot of time taking things apart that were destined for the trash. I wanted to understand how they worked. Sometimes I fixed them, but I was always thinking about how they could be better. That curiosity eventually turned into a career designing and engineering products for global retailers.
In my career, I’ve helped bring more than 100 products to market. What motivates me most is the space between idea and reality. It’s where assumptions get challenged, past solutions are reexamined, and new answers start to take shape. That’s the part I enjoy solving. My work sits at the intersection of industrial design and engineering. I blend creative thinking with practical execution to create products that are intentional and manufacturable.
I care about the details. The feel of a button. The precision of a snap fit. The subtle decisions most people never notice but always experience. I believe even everyday products deserve purpose, whether it’s a complex device or something as simple as a pencil.
Outside of work, I’m usually spending time with my family, building something, or exploring somewhere new. This site is a collection of that: product design, travel, photography, and projects at home, along with anything else that grabs my interest. Different mediums, same mindset. Not everything is worth sharing, but everything is an opportunity to problem solve and improve.
